Emirates Technical and Safety Development Centre; the Leader Training Provider.
Through its 10 years of satisfying its clients, training needs and its association with Nutec, ETSDC has developed over 70 courses which are delivered by qualified instructors in 9 purpose built and fully
equipped class rooms.
ETSDC Celebrates
10th Anniversary
Just over ten years ago, when the idea of operating a training and development delivery centre came about, the management of the Mutawa Group
of Companies had other things on their minds, namely building and developing the Musaffah Yard and building new Diving Support Vessels. The increase of HSE awareness in ADNOC and all the Oil Operating Companies, however, made it necessary that our Employees climb the ladder of better HSE understanding, in order to give quality service to the ADNOC group of Companies.
Therefore, the Establishment of "Emirates Technical and Safety Centre" became one of the priorities of the
business of Mutawa Group.
The Centre started with humble beginnings, two class rooms, two instructors and sandwiches for lunch.
In the opening ceremony of the Centre,
the words of Mr. Mutawa (still echoing in my ears),
" This Centre must add value to the knowledge and professionalism of each individual who comes seeking our help and guidance. We must seek to increase the competency level of each
delegate" showed his vision in stating what the Centre should
achieve.

In the same ceremony, Mr. .Mutawa also showed his respect to the profession of Instructors in delivering their duties and their
endeavours to increase the competency level of every delegate.
" You must be honest and sincere in your preaching and coaching. The people who come to learn from you are
in trusting you with their lives. You must show them the correct guidelines and procedures to carry out in every subject and you must make sure that the delegates understand the right thing to do. As instructors, you must seek to get all the necessary" qualifications and expertise to help you know and instruct the right thing to do. And I tell you now that any one who fails the test of our integrity and loyalty to the profession will not be part of our
organization," he added.
That was just ten year ago... Now look at our Centre, Alhamdulilla, it has grown many folds. Over two thousand delegates pass through our 9 class rooms every month, learning from over 70,
approved and authenticated, courses, delivered by fully
qualified and able instructors who are either locally based or
from UK, from one of our associated and sister
companies,
" NUTEC and RISKTEC".
We deliver Technical and Safety Classes in our Centre or at the Client's premises/sites. Our instructors are more than adequately experienced and equipped to adapt to the working conditions of all Clients.
